Stratford – Greens Subscription Details

DURATION AND COST

Season is 8 Bi-Weekly Pick-Ups.
Pick-Ups are on Saturdays.

August 22
September 5
September 19

Bi-Weekly Subscription – $200 ($25 per week for 8 weeks)

**Additional vegetables, fruit and herbs will be available to order during the season, above and beyond what will be in your Greens Subscription Share.

PICK-UP DETAILS

Where:
Tea Leaves. 433 Erie Street, Stratford
In a shed located behind Tea Leaves.

When:
Saturdays, between 8:00am until 11:00am

Who:
Anyone who can commit to picking up their subscription can sign up! It doesn’t matter where you live!

How:
Your weekly or bi-weekly share will be delivered to Tea Leaves BEFORE 8:00am in large, stackable totes. This will include each individual item in that week’s share, as well as add-on orders.. You are to bring your own box or bags and transfer the contents into them.

Let’s say there were 100 Greens Subscriptions dropped off, with 7 items in that week’s share. There will be 7 individual stacks of totes. There may be 3 totes with 34 radish bunches in each, or 5 totes with 20 bags of salad greens in each. And so on and so forth. Each item will be stacked separately and every subscriber gets one item from each stack.

Everything will be packaged and arranged neatly, clearly and cleanly, each tote will be stacked according to its kind, separated from the rest and easy to distinguish.

If a tote is empty in a stack when you arrive, please neatly stack it with other empty totes and open a new tote in the stack.

Add-on orders will be in their own tote stacks, in plastic bags with the Subscriber’s surname on them.

The totes are not to leave the shed. I will pick up the empty totes the following Friday morning.

The Pick-Up is self-serve. If there is more than one Subscriber picking up their share, please kindly wait your turn and use considerate social distancing, just as at a grocery store.

Additional produce will be available to order as ‘Add-Ons’. On Tuesdays you will be sent an email letting you know what to expect in the upcoming Saturday’s Subscription delivery. You will also receive a list of vegetables and fruits available to purchase and add-on to your upcoming delivery. Orders are due on Fridays by 7:00pm.

CROP LIST
This is a Greens-focused Subscription. Weekly shares contain 6-8 items, roughly half GREENS items and half VEGGIES in value.

VEGGIES: Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Sweet Peppers, Snap Peas, Green Beans, Fresh Onions, Green Onions, Garlic, Garlic Scapes, Carrots, Beets, Early Potatoes, Salad Turnips, Radishes, Zucchini, Broccoli, Kohlrabi, Small Butternut Squash and Carnival Squash (and several herbs: Parsley, Basil, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme..)

GREENS : Salad Greens, (Lettuce Mixes, Mustard Mixes, Spinach, Arugula, Kale, Mizuna, Tatsoi, etc.), Lettuce Heads, Kale, Swiss Chard, Rapini, Braising Greens (Mustards), Pak Choy, Pea Shoots

PAYMENT PLANS

1) Full Payment

$200 payment when you Sign-Up.

2) Two or Three Payments

1st payment of $100 is due when you Sign-Up.
2nd payment of $100 is due August 1

3) Pay Each Week
In filling out the Sign-Up Form, you are a Subscriber and therefore committing to receiving the vegetables grown for you and paying for your chosen subscription in a timely manner for the duration of the season.

$25 for Bi-Weekly Subscriptions is due each Thursday evening, no later than 7:00pm, for each upcoming Friday delivery.

If I do not receive your $25.00 payment, you will forfeit that week’s Share. If this happens twice, you will forfeit your Subscription for the season.

I need to have these rules in place so that as the farmer, I can turn my full attention to the tasks in the field and not at my desk or phone getting after Subscribers for payments.
